Aquarius Breakdown
Aquarius is an air sign, but is depicted as a water bearer. According to Cafe Astrology, 'The symbol for Aquarius is the Water Bearer, symbolically and eternally giving life and spiritual food to the world. The water from the vessel washes away the past, leaving room for a fresh, new start.
Aquarius is traditionally ruled by the planet Saturn and its modern ruler is the planet Uranus. Saturn is the planet of discipline, of time, of duties. Uranus is the planet of rebellion, shock , the urge to break free and be independent, also ruled over the newest inventions and technology. Aquarius is a fixed sign - there are 3 modalities in astrology and the fixed modes are the signs with the staying power, they see things through, they are more fixed in their ways and less adaptable and open to change.
It is important to note that when the sun is in Aquarius it is in detriment, or what we call a detriment sun. Detriment means: the state of being harmed or damaged. SEXTROLOGY of Aquarius
Aquarius is a fixed sign, so they have staying power. They are usually the ones to have long term flings, or quadruple back on old lovers. I find that Aquarius enjoy a mentally stimulated connection with their partners, that is one of the first things that attracts an Aquarius. Aquarius is an air sign, known to be ‘emotionally detached’ but what people tend to overlook is how air signs are truly in their heads and like to analyze everything before they act or even allow themselves to feel things out. Not everything is expressed emotionally with an Aquarius and so it may be repressed. Nevertheless, Aquarius still makes my top 5 list.
In astrology Aquarius falls into my 11th house, the house of friends, fulfillment of desires, aspirations, and social networks. I make a lot of Aquarius friends and I’ve also had the most Aquarius lovers out of all the zodiac signs. In the 11th house we contemplate those who are “our type” and can be naturally drawn to the sign in our 11th house but not necessarily drawn to them in a sexual or physical way, more like a burning desire type of way. I
It’s also important to note that when you lack a zodiac sign or an element in your chart, you often attract or find yourself attracted to that energy that you lack. I have 0 planets in Aquarius and only 1 air sign in my chart. But I have 3 Leo placements (the opposite of Aquarius) and 5 fire placements, so I am drawn to Aquarius placements through that opposition and tend to find air signs intriguing because I am fire heavy.
Pay attention to two things, the signs or elements you lack and observe the signs or elements you attract the most! (Especially if you lack the opposite sign to your Sun, moon, or rising) and the zodiac sign that falls into your 11th house because that is usually the people you will feel as if you could see yourself settling down with in the future or may feel that person is “a perfect match for you” but it never really works out, it’s simply a desire and you realize maybe you were just meant to be meet and befriend one another, nothing more. In bed however, this could be a sexually compatible fit for a mentally stimulating, fun, fling!
My Aquarius Experience
My experience with Aquarius has been interesting to say the least. Aquarius is a masculine sign, and the ones I have interacted with have liked to take charge. From pursuing, telling me to open my mouth to spit in it, to asking permission to do something new in the bedroom, they are lovers that are not afraid to lead their partner to ecstasy all while thinking about the needs of their partner ahead of time.
The Aquarius’ I have encountered are more unconventional lovers and have been more willing to explore in the bedroom compared to other signs. Two Aquarius suns have asked me to bite their d*ck when engaging in sexual activity. I thought that was a crazy pattern to note because according to The Rulership book by Rex E. Bills, Aquarius rules over teeth in general.
Unfortunately, the Aquarius men that I have been with were used to repressing emotions and the truth. It just so happens that various Aquarius (men) like to lead double lives, finding solace in lovers they yearn for, and being able to dissociate from their reality to enjoy a sensual connection. I am not one to generalize a zodiac sign, because of course, everyone’s personal astrology will differ but it’s unfortunate that I’ve had the same experience with this zodiac sign. I still adore Aquarius placements (as a Leo) and just approach with caution.
