10 Lessons Saturn Taught Me

10 Lessons Saturn Taught Me

1. Let Go

I’ve had to let go in so many situations. Every time I do—no matter how hard—it’s rewarding and freeing. Don’t be afraid to release what no longer serves you.

2. Your Network Is Your Net Worth

Surround yourself with people who reflect the person you aspire to be, who share your values, understand your essence, and love you for who you are. Staying connected to the wrong people holds you back. The right connections open doors that align with your purpose and goals.

3. Build for Tomorrow, but Be Present Today

In my twenties, I was focused on fun and living in the moment. That’s okay—but I wish I had taken the time to seriously consider what I was doing each day to move toward my future. Think intentionally today, and plan for tomorrow and beyond.

4. Love Yourself and Offer Yourself Grace

This is still a work in progress for me. Like many, I’m hard on myself. But I’m learning to embrace mistakes, accept being wrong, and return stronger and more self-aware. Growth requires grace.

5. Dust Settles—But I Don’t

I am not dust, and I don’t have to settle—for anything or anyone. Neither should you. Know your worth. Set strong boundaries, and uphold them. Love yourself enough to never accept half-hearted efforts—in work, relationships, or choices.

6. Your Body Is a Temple—Treat It as One

This is something I was taught early, and I still believe it deeply. You only get one body. After being unable to walk for two months, I developed a profound appreciation for my physical self. Don’t neglect or abuse your body—nourish and support it.

7. Trust Your Intuition—Then Follow It

Our bodies are wise. Often, they sense things before our minds can process them. If something or someone makes you feel unsafe or uneasy, trust that feeling. Don’t ignore your intuition—it’s your internal compass. Follow it.

8. Knowledge Is Power

Keep learning. The more you know, the more you can grow, and the more you can teach and empower others. Learning is one of the greatest tools for self-improvement.

9. You’ve Got to Go Through It to Grow Through It

There were nights when I believed I would never move on, never heal. But I’ve learned that to grow into your full self, you have to pass through pain and struggle. The journey may be difficult, but there is always light ahead. I promise you—it will be okay.

10. There Is More Time Than Life

I once read this quote in a Spanish textbook: “Hay más tiempo que vida.” I’ve never forgotten it. Time is a construct. Life is the real gift. Don’t waste it worrying about time—live fully, right here, right now. Cherish where you are today.
